Venus - Case Study

In association with a New Zealand laminate company the Scott Laminate Cutter was developed using rotary guillotine cutting technology and incorporated information systems for an automated laminate cutting operation. Scott researched the laminate cutters currently available in the market place. Laminate saws, laminate guillotines, laminate slitters offer a variety of manual solutions. These manual solutions can provide off-cut wastage, relying on operator accuracy and intervention, and has a variable amount of safety concerns.

The point of difference to other laminate cutters available is the lack of sawdust, and lack of edge splintering, allowing for yield maximisation. Scott is also able to interface with integrated information systems that offer low reliance on operator skill and intervention. Safety concerns are minimal and there are no noise issues offering a clean and safe environment for workers.
