Stage 2 - The Hindquarter System
Auto BoningThe Robotic Technologies (RTL) hindquarter system separates the legs of a chump-on or scallop-cut hindquarter from the aitchbone. A robotic knife is used to free the tendons, while spreader arms apply tension to ensure that the maximum yield is attained.
Current developments involve integrating the hindquarter system with the out feed of the primal system determining accurate bone coordinates from the x-ray system.
